Kamala Harris. The name itself holds weight. Kamala Harris’s historical rise from Howard University to the White House serving alongside current President Joe Biden is everything and more. She not only became the first female, but the first BLACK female Vice President of the United States. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Harris has always embraced leadership and service which she advocated for under the Democratic Party in her efforts to bring social and economic justice. When Harris declared her run for presidency following President Joe Biden removing himself from the race, support was quickly shown with numerous endorsements. VP Kamala Harris represents history. It’s time to take a look into VP Kamala Harris’s White House journey and what it would mean for her to win the 2024 Presidential election.

Making Moves, Making History

Kamala Harris’s journey to the White House is a story of determination and breaking barriers. She has had many prominent roles that include District Attorney of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, and even held a seat on the Senate representing California. Harris is recognized for her advocacy to crime prevention, healthcare, immigration, civil rights, and more. All of this led up to her making history in 2020 to become the first female, first Black, and first South Asian Vice President of the United States. Prior to, when would America have thought we would have a BLACK female VP?! As VP, Harris focused on addressing the COVID-10 pandemic, promoting economic recovery, and advancing social justice initiatives. Her actions have not only shown her commitment, but her presence alone has inspired generations ahead and hope for America’s future.
